Extension privacy notice
Short — Korean URL shortener · Version 1.0.0 · September 27, 2026
1. Information processed and its purpose
The existing Korean extension turns a selected page URL into a short sharing link. Opening it displays the current tab URL in an editable field. No URL is sent to the server at this point.
Selecting Create short link sends the original URL, chosen code, and expiration over HTTPS to the existing Korean service. Original URLs may contain personal information such as search terms or identifiers; check before sharing. The server stores the URL, code, and expiration to provide the link. Hosting providers may process normal request information such as IP addresses.
2. Information stored in this browser
Local extension storage holds up to 20 recent short links, their codes, creation and expiration times, the last selected duration, and pending request status or last error. Original URLs, page titles, and page content are not kept in recent history. History is not synchronized through your browser account.
3. Requested permissions
- activeTab: Displays the current tab URL when you open the extension.
- storage: Stores recent links, expiration preferences, and request status in this browser.
- clipboardWrite: Writes the selected short link to the clipboard when you press Copy. It does not read clipboard contents.
- Access to the Korean service host: Sends requests to the existing Korean shortening API and receives results.
4. Information not collected
The extension does not read or collect browsing history, page content, passwords, cookies, or clipboard contents. It does not track sites in the background and includes no advertising or separate analytics SDK. URLs are sent only when you create a link. Generated links are guest links and are not linked to your website account.
5. Retention and deletion
Clear this browser's history removes the local list and last request result. Uninstalling the extension removes its local data, including settings. Expired links are hidden from recent history and cleaned up when you next create a link.
Clearing local history or uninstalling the extension does not delete links already created on the server. Guest links last for the chosen duration (24 hours, 48 hours, 7 days, or 30 days) and are removed by the service cleanup process after expiration. Contact us below to request deletion of server data.
6. Data use
Extension data is used to create and copy links, provide recent history, and operate the service. It is not used for ad targeting, sale, or credit assessment. Opening a short link or visiting the website is subject to the website's Privacy policy.
